On May 17, 2019, Prologis held its annual IMPACT Day. On this day, Prologis employees from around the world do volunteer work to give back to their communities. Approximately 1,600 employees from 72 offices and 19 countries took part in IMPACT Day 2019. This year, we supported a total of 65 projects at 49 organizations in the fields of education, social welfare and the environment.

The Prologis Germany team volunteered at the St. Raphael Haus, an inclusive child and youth welfare organization in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk, which is operated by the Caritas Association. The facility offers children and young people housing and supports and advises them and their families during difficult life situations. As an example, the St. Raphael Haus accommodates young refugees and children with disabilities. In addition, the facility helps young people cope with crises and offers social group work.

Employees from Prologis Germany worked on the organization’s outdoor facilities and renovated the preschool. During the course of the day, the team painted the corridors of the preschool, created raised vegetable patches, cleaned the outside area, weeded, pruned back bushes and trees, and pressure washed the sports facilities.

“IMPACT Day reflects our corporate values—integrity, passion, responsibility, courage and teamwork,” says Alexander Heubes, senior vice president, country manager Germany, Prologis. “On this day, we do yard work for educational institutions or help charitable organizations with renovations, for example. I am delighted to see how this day makes a positive impact every year and brings people from different walks of life together.”
