Michael Nolte

Director, Head of Development Management Germany

Michael Nolte is director, head of development management Germany at Prologis. He leads the development management team, which conceptualizes, develops and implements projects – for new and existing buildings – and budgeting of warehouse equipment for customers. He is responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets, schedules and forecasts. Under his leadership, the ten-person team also drafts contracts and negotiates property purchases, as well as construction, lease and service provider agreements. He also coordinates the management of the German projects in alignment with Prologis Europe. In the existing buildings, the operations construction managers of his team implement the CAPEX measures.

Nolte has been in the construction and real estate industry for 30 years. After an apprenticeship as a draftsman at Strabag, he studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. At Strabag International, he became familiar with all aspects of the construction process in many countries— from calculation and planning coordination to construction and project management.

Nolte has been with Prologis since 2021. Previously, he was a self-employed real estate consultant in Düsseldorf and an authorized signatory, responsible for project development and asset management at the German branch of a Dutch family office specializing in real estate in Aachen. At GOLDBECK West in Monheim am Rhein, he worked as a sales engineer in the office division. He is a member of the Ingenieurkammer-Bau Nordrhein-Westfalen (Chamber of Civil Engineers of North Rhine-Westphalia), the Association of German Engineers (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e. V.) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
