May 18 was Prologis' sixth annual global day of service, IMPACT Day, when we give back to the communities where we live and work. This year, the Germany team supported the Simonette-Fliedner-Haus mother-child home, an organization in Kaiserswerth, Düsseldorf, that helps pregnant women and mothers in need.

We set up and arranged new furniture for the outdoor space of the Simonette-Fliedner-Haus.

On IMPACT Day, the Prologis team set up and arranged new furniture for the home’s outdoor space, cleaned the patio and garden—including adding new plants—and set up a children’s play area with a tent and mats on the patio. We gave the mothers and children bathrobes, baby bottles and kids’ backpacks. We also sourced a new lawn mower for the home. At lunchtime, we grilled outside with the Simonette-Fliedner-Haus residents and employees.

In 2018, Prologis colleagues from across the globe supported 48 organizations with 66 projects focused on education, human welfare and the environment on IMPACT Day. “A day of charitable work allows us to live out our company values—integrity, passion, responsibility, courage and teamwork,” said Alexander Heubes, senior vice president, country manager, Prologis. “Prologis teams around the world get involved in different projects, from trash removal and renovation work for social institutions to traffic safety training.”
