Marko Klemt Vice President, Legal Counsel Northern Europe
Marko Klemt, Legal Counsel Northern Europe, leads the legal department for Prologis in Northern Europe. He is responsible for all legal matters associated with Prologis’ activities in Germany, Benelux and Scandinavia, including the setting up and negotiation of lease agreements, sale and purchase agreements as well as project development related agreements. Furthermore, he supervises all litigation matters and oversees the compliance and data protection related concerns of the business.
As part of the European legal department Mr. Klemt collaborates with the other Prologis legal counsels as well as external advisors to ensure ever increasing efficiency through streamlined documents and procedures as well as cross-border co-ordination of requirements of our international customers.
Mr. Klemt joined Prologis in 2011. Previously, he worked at Generali, the international insurance group, where he served as senior legal counsel responsible for advising the group’s German real estate business in all aspects. Prior to Generali, Mr. Klemt worked for 5 years as an Associate Attorney in the Corporate Law (Private M&A/Private Equity) and Real Estate practice groups of the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Frankfurt/Main.
Mr. Klemt holds a degree in Law from the University of Bayreuth (Bavaria) as well as a Master Degree in Law from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia).
